The principal card of the element of Air is the Prince of Swords; being Air of Air or Pure Air. The elemental beings associated with these cards are the Sylphs. Their qualities are as follows:

Positive Qualities:
Prompt and Active

Negative Qualities:
Frivolous and Capricious

Fire of Air, the Knight of Swords brings virulent force to these qualities, as Water of Air, the Queen of Cups brings an emotional response to these qualities. And the Princess of Swords is as the Ace of Swords, representing the Intellect of the individual in his or her basic character.
